The Post About North Korea

North Korea recently launched an intercontinental missile that has the potential to hit major US cities such as LA, Chicago, and Denver. Of course, this missile only has the potential to do this. It would still need a nuclear warhead in order for it to do real damage. Their technology hasn't be proven to be there, but this recent test is a grave warning to the US.

North Korea has been working on their nuclear arsenal since the 1950s with the USSR. The USSR was disbanded and then they had to keep supplying their nuclear arsenal on their own. The United States promised to help protect South Korea and Japan in case of an eventual nuclear attack. The United States has been trying to get North Korea to stop building nuclear weapons since the 90s. Bill Clinton tried to negotiate with them. Bush tried threatening them to stop. Obama tried to strategically wait them out. But now we are stuck with Number 45 who just tweets out nonsense because he doesn't know how to think like a rational human being. On Friday, North Korea demonstrated that they have a missile that can hit Alaska with a small nuclear warhead. North Korea couldn't figure out how to hit the United States a few months ago, but if they develop the technology any quicker then the US may not be able to protect Japan and South Korea. If North Korea figures out how to hit the US, the pretty soon South Korea and Japan will look into growing their own nuclear arsenal. This will lead to nuclear proliferation which is what past US presidents have been trying to avoid. If  we launch an attack on North Korea, then they will launch an attack on Seoul or Tokyo. North Korea's dictator is a self obsessed man with a completely obedient military and no empathy for other countries. The current leader of the free world has no foreign policy experience and practically no one working in the State Department who will be able to handle this. Also, he sends out random tweets that make no sense and are practically like empty bills that cannot become laws. If you shoot two loose and unpredictable canons at each other, you're bound to get blown up.

The Post About Transgender Servicemembers

President Circus Peanut has tweeted out that transgender people are banned from serving in the military. This is reversing an Obama-era policy.

Here's What I Think: I am not going to go too deep into what he said because you can go to another blog for that. But this blog I will write about how I feel. So fuck Number 45. No matter what your sexual orientation or gender identity, you should not be prohibited from the honor and privilege of serving our nation. Even the Pentagon was surprised by what he said, because the orange idiot tweeted it from his bedroom. The idiot didn't even consult any of the generals and military experts. Because apparently this circus peanut knows so much about the military, despite the fact that he didn't even serve because he faked bone spurs. Moreover, the idiot said that transgender people are burdensom or disruptive because they only join the military so that they can receive healthcare. Transgender people don't go through the extremely difficult training process for selfish reasons. They don't because they truly want to serve in the military. 1 in 6 transgender people are currently serving in the military. More transgender people have fought and died for this country than members of the Tr*mp family. Transgender people face abuse just for leaving their homes and then there are brave transgender people who will fight for their country as well. The cost of trans medical care in the military is 2.4 - 8.4 million dollars, however the cost the military spends on boner pills is 84.2 million dollars. Ya'll see the priorities of the military, right? 
I just wanted to say that the care of transgender people is not a distraction. It is a human right. I stand with my transgender family. God bless you guys.

The Post About Venus Wiliams

Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, police department falsely accused Venus Williams of killing an elderly man when she didn't do that last week. On June 9, 78 year old Jerome Barson was killed and his wife, Linda, terribly injured after Ms. William's SUV – going five miles per hour – entered an intersection, colliding with the Barson's car. June 30, in a Facebook post, Venus Williams addressed the accident. “I am devastated and heartbroken by this accident. My heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends of Jerome Barson, and I continue to keep them in my thoughts and prayers.” Then, on July 3 at Wimbledon, the tennis media asked Williams about how she felt about essentially killing a man. The way they posed the question was awful. Venus started to make a statement, but soon she burst into tears and left the press conference to not come back. While the police investigation was still going on, TMZ released a video showing that Williams was innocent.  The police now say that Williams was driving lawfully in the intersection. Amid this trauma, Venus has advanced to the second weekend of Wimbledon, defeating Naomi Osaka, a 19-year-old player who was not even born when Williams first took to the grass courts 20 years ago. Her ability to persevere is stunning, but this is not a game. The police released this statement at the beginning of their investigation. That is a huge screw up! You don't reveal information to the public without any sufficient evidence to back it up. Also, this video was released by TMZ. If TMZ didn't get a hold of this video footage, would it have been released at any point during the investigation? Why would they do something this irresponsible and negligent?

Because she is a black woman. This whole case is a look into how police and white people in America treat black woman. They always assume that black people are at fault without even taking the time to consider any other possibilities. Venus Williams is one of the most stunning tennis players. Venus Williams also has Sjogren's Syndrome, an autoimmune disease which causes debilitating joint pain, swelling, numbness and fatigue. She already has to deal with this kind of disease while being one of the most amazing and graceful tennis players of our time. But now people wanna go around tarnishing her reputation like it's some kind of game. Williams has had to go against people on the tennis court who were barely walking or weren't even born yet when she was just learning how dominate the court.She and her sister are arguably some of the greatest athletes in the world and now this comes out of nowhere. Can you believe the pressure that she may be under to stay as accomplished as she is and also keep a level head above all of the bullshit she may face on a regular basis?

The Post About R Kelly

Recently, Buzzfeed news reported that R Kelly is holding 6 women in his home in a cult fashion. This news story broke when the families of the women came forward with the story. I honestly hate these news when women are being abused. R Kelly is not new to having sex scandals surrounding him. In 1994, he married Aliyah when she was 14 and he was 25. Aliyah lied on the marriage certificate and said she was 18. When the marriage was annulled, Aliyah said that “she was never the same” after the “relationship”. In 1996, Tiffany Hawkins and R Kelly got in a “relationship”. Tiffany was 15 and R Kelly was 27.

Now I am going to stop right here because if I keep going, I am going to be pissed off. R Kelly is a disgusting person who is obsessed with young women. He is an older man with more money and plenty of experience of manipulating younger women to do what he wants. He has also been charged with 21 counts of child pornography in Chicago and 12 counts in Florida. This man has allegedly had sex with children multiple times!! And people are still defending him!! When we fail to put people like R Kelly behind bars, we fail women. And more importantly, we fail black women. 60% of black women have been sexually harassed in their life. Black women will come forward with stories of men sexually abusing them and you will not believe them. Then they will be hurt and broken in their life and ya’ll wonder why there are so many broken black women in the world. This man have abused soooo many children!!! He abused minors, guys!! He needs to be in jail.

When we do not punish men who mistreat women, we are failing women. We need to be here to listen and support women when they speak up about sexual abuse. Bill Cosby was found not guilty and now the reruns have been ordered back again. There go all of our morals. That is a direct slap in the face to women who have been assaulted. They feel discouraged from coming forward because they see in real life how constantly sexual assaulters get away with this crime. This happens all of the time and I wish this would stop. R Kelly is an awful person who is not aware that what he is doing is messed up and wrong. Too many times we blame women for these things and the men just get away and keep doing it to other women. And the other women who are abused may not come forward and will stay silent. This is a depressing cycle that is persistent in today’s society. I really pray to God that R Kelly is arrested and that evidence comes forward for him to go to jail and not bail himself out before a trial. And yes, I know that one of the alleged captives have been making all of these Marina Joyce type videos. But these are obviously staged to look like she isn’t being held captive. These videos are lies and we need to wake up. I cannot wait for the day R Kelly goes to jail for a very very long time.

The Post About Beyonce's Twins and Other Things Beyonce

This morning, I woke up to Beyonce's picture all over my timeline. There was Beyonce, Queen of the Universe, holding her babies while standing in front of a beautifully lit flower wreath looking like Mother Nature herself. I am here for it ya'll!!! After listening to Lemonade and 4:44 back to back for about a week, I was anticipating something hugecoming from the Carters and this was it! All of us on black twitter had a feeling that the twins had been born some time ago and that Beyonce was just witholding pictures from the public to be able to spend some time with her babies before the blogs completely lost it. And we have!! She named those babies Rumi and Sir Carter! She made sure to name her baby son Sir that way people had no choice, but to address him by Sir. I love it!

I am so happy for Beyonce, so I will be breaking down some things for people who don't understand the importance of this. When Beyonce announced her pregnancy, white women got in a tizzle over this and completely went off in their whiny nasally think pieces. Listen up here white women! What we are not going to do is speak anything but goodwill on Beyonce and her beautiful family. Beyonce has had to deal with a shifty marriage and work out all the kinks with that marriage behind closed doors. She has had many miscarriages and stillborns. Moreover, every other week people were coming out saying that Beyonce was pregnant, when she knew that she wasn't. Every single move she makes is scrutinized and criticized. People say she shouldn't dance around on stage because she's older and she's a mother. She shouldn't sing about having sex with her husband and that her feminism isn't real feminism because she focuses a lot on femininity in her music and that she doesn't give back to her community.

First of all, white women have no place to tell Beyonce anything. She is literally one of the best singers and performers of our time. Everything you are going to write about her announcements is just you complaining because it makes you feel some type of way because Beyonce is happy and you're upset that a Starbucks barista spelled your name Maggy instead of Maggie. Ya'll are really upset because when Beyonce posts a picture on her personal Instagram and we all get very excited. We are happy for Beyonce because we recognize how amazing she is and how hard she works everyday to have the level of success that she has. We recognize this, but you and some black women, I ain't forgot about ya'll "pick me's", get so upset because we are happy for Bey. Like let us have our happiness! Black women do not live happy and lavish lives to satisfy you. If you don't like Beyonce's instagram announcements,well then tough because no one care if you're hurt Becky. How aboutyou deal with whatever low self-esteem is making you take out yourwhite tears on Beyonce and her beautiful babies. Get over yourself.If you really think your negative opinion on Beyonce's growing family matters, then honey you are seriously delusional.

Onto Beyonce giving back, she and Jay Z has donated money plenty of times to people in theUS and across the world. We all know that Beyonce and Jay- Z are extremely private about their own personal lives. So that means they have found time to give back to the community without making a huge announcement about it. Because honestly, if make a huge deal of giving back to your community, then you're really doing it for publicity and for people to think that you are a good person. Jay Zwired money to bail out the Baltimore protesters in 2015 after filmaker Dream Hampton tweeted out to him in now deleted tweets. Apparently Jay Z wired tens of thousands of dollars. Beyonce has her BeyGood foundation that does very important charity work in Nepalafter the 7.2 magnitude earthquake and in Haiti to help disadvataged children.

Now, Beyonce's feminism is valid. Just because her music is usually about women's sexuality and femininity doesn't make it invalid. Beyonce sings about having sex with her husband and she wears what she wants on stage because she is her own person! She will wear whatever she wants after any pregnancy and she will be killing it on stage! Moreover, she created Lemonade which is an award winnning piece of black feminist art that is extremely important to so many black women still to this day. Femnism comes in all kinds of packages, but as long as it focuses on being equitable to all people despite their gender identity, sexual orientation, race, physical and mental ability, or socioeconomic background. Moreover, BeyGood has focused on pushing forward an agenda to pursue worldwide gender equality.

So if ya'll got any hate for Beyonce, don't bring that negative energy over here. No ma'am

The Post About Aladdin Casting

Very recently, Disney announced that they will be doing a live version of Aladdin. Everyone is extremely excited for this, of course, because Aladdin is a great Disney movie. Disney also revealed that they are having a hard time looking for cast members. That left everyone confused because there are plenty brown actors who would be perfect for the movie. Everyone is already recommending that you cast Avan Jogia as Aladdin, but I have other recommendations for casting options.

• Dev Patel from Skins, Slumdog Millionaire, and Oscar nominated movie Lion
• Riz Ahmed from the rap group Swet Shop Boys, HBO series The Night Of, and blockbuster movie Rogue One: A Star Wars Movie
• Rami Malek from USA's hit show Mr. Robot
• Yasmine Sabry is an Egyptian film actress who would be a great fit for Jasmine
• Priyanka Chopra is an Indian film actress who was the winner of the Miss World 2000 pageant, an very talented Bollywood actress who has been in the ABC series Quantico and in the movie Baywatch
• Sammy Sheik is an Egyptian actor who is best known for his recurring role of Masheer on the hit Fox series 24
• Adam Bakri is an actor best known for playing lead in role in the Academy Award nominated film Omar

As you can see, there are plenty of Middle Eastern and South Asian actors for Hollywood to cast in Aladdin. Bollywood had sooo many actors! Like 1/6 of the world's population are people from Indian. There are literally 1 billion people in India. Bollywood makes more movies than Hollywood does every year.

We all know that Hollywood sucks at casting people of color for roles that are meant for people of color. People like Scarlet Johanssen, Emma Stone, and Matt Damon are famously known for taking roles that are meant for Asian American actors.

Here's What I Think

It's annoying when you take roles in popular movies that can showcase Asian American, South Asian, Middle Eastern talent, but is giving to more well-known white actors so that the studios can make more money. Hollywood really needs to get a hold of their obvious and really annoying white washing problem. There is very little representation for Asian Americans to look up to and Hollywood keeps fucking Asian Americans over. You can find every Middle Eastern actor to play a terrorist in whatever movie that makes white people the hero and brown people the villian. But when you need a Middle Eastern actor to be the lead role, ya'll can't find anybody. It's ridiculous. Casting directors need to do better when casting big budget movies. When we spend more time actually casting roles to the appropriate actors and not just whatever big actor will get the most tickets sold, it will pay off.

Now I just got Tidal, so I missed listening to Shawn Carter's 13th studio album. But I do have Twitter, so it's like I already read it. Here are some thoughts about this album based off of my favorites tweets. Kind of like a Buzzfeed article. Without the publicity and clicks and money, but let's move on.

• "No such think as an ugly billionaire, I'm cute."
• "Niggas be skipping leg day just to run they mouth"
• Mr. Shawn Carter admitted to cheating on Beyonce on the same track that Beyonce was featured on. Solange beated him in an elevator and then we didn't listen. Beyonce sang about it on her own album. Not even on Lemonade. Apparently, she has been singing about his infidelity since 2006! He said that he needed to be a better role model for Blue and that he wouldn't know what to do if his children found out what he had done. He also goes into how his emotionless caused Beyonce to have her miscarriges and that he still carries that guilt with him. Moreover, I find it absolutely ridiculous how it takes men so long to learn to respect women and treat them better. Jay Z may be a billionaire, but he is almost 50 and it took him this long to realize that maybe he should be sleeping around behind his wife's back!
• He rapped a line talking about Jewish people owning more businesses than black people. Many people saw this line as anti-semitic since it was the same line used to cause a mass genocide against Jewish people. I understand that he means for black people to invest in black businesses, however we can do this without saying offensive things against other minorities. 
• He opens up about being raised by a single lesbian mother and how she couldn't be who she was in the times they were living in.
• Moreover, Jay Z put Beyonce through hell and high water. There a plenty of photos online of Beyonce looking at Jay while he is on her phone, only we didn't know the truth behind these photos. And I honestly found it disgusting and astonishing how selfish and disgusting men can be that they will literally destroy any good thing they have. Beyonce is the greatest artist of our lifetime and Blue Ivy will be right behind her mother. The fact that he did something that would jepordize his marriage and connection with Blue shows how men can still be trash even when they have literally the most beautiful woman in their bed next to them.

The Post About Kodak Black

I really did not want to write this post, but the time has come. Kodak Black recently said that he doesn't find Black women attractive. 
So once again, there is a black man who would rather date a white or Latino woman rather than a black woman. 
If you do not know who Kodak Black is, consider yourself lucky. Kodak Black is a Florida rapper with a long rap sheet of legal troubles. The one case of his that has shaken me to my core was the one that revealed details of him being accused of sexual battery. Apparently, at the end of one of his performances in Florida, he brought a female fan to his hotel room and repeatedly bit her, tore off her clothes, and raped her as she screamed for help.

So Here's What I Think: I was never a fan of Kodak Black. I had listened to a few of his songs and wasn't that impressed. But after reading about this after it happened, I didn't particularly find it difficult to stop listening to him. Kodak Black is the type of rapper that Hip Hop will not abandon. He has that angry sound that is the kind of staple to rap music. However, his violent past, sexual assault allegations, and constant legal trouble will not be enough to kick him out of the rap scene. And now that he is saying that he doesn't find black women attractive, which is another thing that black men love to constantly repeat. I cannot tell you why black men say they hate black women when their mothers are black women. 
Constantly giving sexual abusers opprotunities to perform in front of huge crowds is another way society silences sexual assault victims. Someone can come forward and name their rapist, but nothing happens to the rapist. You will hear people calling sexual assault allegations "career ending statements", however, Chris Brown is still selling out stadiums, Bill Cosby got off with a mistrial, and now Kodak Black is not in jail like he should be. He also represents the types of black men who will be as pro-black as black women are, but will speak hate to that same black woman. I personally don't know how Kodak Black has the confidence to say these things about black women when he literally looks like a dusty dirty old toiletbrush. 
Black men will always try to tell black women how they should act, wear their hair, how long their skirts should be, and what they should be do regarding their future. These misogynistic ideals that men hold onto so tightly are not helpful for the community. Black women are not made to praise and please black men. If you want to date only white and latino women, then do that. But it is completely unnecessary to disparage black women's appearances that the same white women you are dating are paying money to acheive. If you want to hate black women and not date them, do that. But you better keep your mouth shut when black women decide to date outside of their race. Because at least we know how do that without saying hateful things about black men that we learned from the Eurocentric dialouge we have been fed since we were young.
